Here’s information regarding the tournament this weekend:

Leaving: Friday, July 30 at 7:00 am from Hillcrest Centre. Please meet at 6:30am so we can be packed and leave on time.
Hillcrest Centre is located at 10306-102 St, next to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. If you are leaving your cars at the centre for the weekend, please do not park them in the catholic church’s parking lot.

Returning: Depends on whether we make the final. The final is on Monday, which would push our return to Tuesday, otherwise we will be returning on Monday.

Travelling arrangements: We will be using a 15 seater van. As of right now, there will be 12 people travelling in the van, with Curt and Todd as drivers. The trip takes 10-12 hours, depending on how many stops are needed. We will be stopping somewhere on the way down for lunch. We will be stopping for gas a few places, so you can pick up snacks there if you need. We have a covered trailer to put our stuff in on the way down, so feel free to pack a duffel bag.

Possible Expenses: The more you eat, the more you spend. We estimate that everyone would need to bring $100 for food costs, but that is all contingent upon how much you eat. Meals will be fairly low-key, but we do have access to a barbecue if we want to cook some meat. Of course, we also have the option of eating out.

Sleeping/Living Arrangements: The cabin we will be staying at is located about 6 km from Salmon Arm, with a private beach and a large backyard. Brent and his family will be staying at the cabin for the rest of the week. We are bringing 2 ten man tents for the team to sleep in, so mats and sleeping bags are a must. Be aware that the weather is forcasted to be 30+ for the entire weekend, so be prepared to be warm. The neighbors are fairly close, as well there are 5 children with us, so being relatively quiet in the evenings is a necessity.

Showers: The soccer fields have a field house with showers, so we will be making use of those for the weekend. Please be prepared for the sake of your teammates to shower after every game, if needed.

something to entertain yourselves on the way down
snacks for the way down.
